In the darkly comedic spy thriller “Ze Network,” they play none other than… themselves: Have his best days already passed? David Hasselhoff wrestles with self-doubt and longs to shine in the public eye once more. So when a theater in Germany—of all places, East Berlin—offers him a role, the timing is perfect. After all, the Hollywood star has always felt understood in Germany. There he meets German acting icon Henry Hübchen, who is slated to share the stage with him in the play’s other leading role.
