Berlin’s cult TV series Liebling Kreuzberg returns as a feature film!
Trendy Kreuzberg is no longer the quintessentially Berlin neighborhood it was in the days of legendary attorney Robert Liebling. The once chaotic-but-charming law firm has also changed in the 18 years since: Dr. Talia Jahnka (Gabriela Maria Schmeide), the founder’s last business partner, now chases lucrative corporate clients. When Liebling’s granddaughter and heir, Lisa (Luise von Finckh), turns up wanting to join the firm, Talia is less than delighted.
Lisa’s very first case stirs up tension: she represents an elderly regular (Winfried Glatzeder) who is fighting a ban from his favorite café—a ban he helped cause. Showing the kind of pragmatism her grandfather would have loved, she strikes a deal with the café owner, Mai (Nhung Hong). In return, Lisa must help Mai’s parents in an eviction suit against a crafty rent dodger. But when Lisa inadvertently breaks professional rules, she risks her grandfather’s legacy and her own career. Now she must not only win the case but also prove herself as a master problem-solver.
